What's New At The Park?

A Refurbished 4-H Arena,

The 4-H Arena got a complete makeover -- new posts and poles and new gate. The park furnished the cost of materials, and volunteers from the County 4-H Horse Committee furnished the labor. Everyone agrees the renovation is great. And since the arena is no longer white, the name sometimes used by long-time users of the park, "the white arena," will have to give way to the more appropriate moniker. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project.

The 4-H Arena has improved footing, with excess sand moved from the new dressage arena, thanks to Brian Arnott.

A Dressage Judge's Stand,

A new judge's stand for the old dressage arena, built by Don John Linton, and still needing to be painted. Even so, it's an improvement over the horse trailers usually used as judging stands.

And New Signs!

New signs have been posted at the park's main entrances. Sue Mathewson gets credit for having them made and put in place.
