Rules Governing Use of Missoula Equestrian Park -- 2009
NO PARKING AT THE STALLS UNLESS YOU ARE STAYING FOR AN OVER NIGHT EVENT (The Tower Street comprehensive plan allows only 14 days per year for parking at the stalls).
Parking is prohibited at the dressage arena. Please park on the north side of the main arena between the arena and the cross country course. Parking is also available at the 4-H arena. Please comply with the no parking areas.
Every rider must be a current Park member with membership form and signed waiver on file, or must carry a valid Day Pass and be accompanied by a Park member.
 Members are responsible not only for their own safety but for the safety of others around them.
Abuse of animals on Park grounds is prohibited.
Areas of the Park will become unavailable to members when there is a scheduled event.
Watch the newsletter, website and posted schedules to find out when and where there are events within the Park.
When maintenance (like arena grooming or watering) is being done, members may need to move to another part of the Park.
The maintenance worker timetable takes precedence.
Cross country fences must be used in the company of at least one other person, and riders must wear
ASTM approved helmets. At least one person present should have a working cell phone. A protective vest is highly recommended
for cross country use. The cross country course is available for schooling before the Mini-Event on Thursday afternoon and all day Friday.
Use of the cross country course is $10 per day, per person, except for members who have paid the $50.00 annual unlimited use fee.
Fees may be put in the drop box at the Park or mailed to Missoula Horsemen’s Council, P.O. Box 3841, Missoula, MT 59806.
Dogs must be on leash activity at the park. In accordance with Missoula County Animal Ordinance 2006-39
Section 4 Section 4,"Dogs Running At Large: A. It shall be unlawful for the owner, temporary owner, or any person
having charge, care, custody, or control to allow such dog at any time to run at large"
No unauthorized motor vehicles are allowed on trails or cross country course.
Do not dump manure, bedding, hay anywhere on the grounds. Do not park on lawns.
Please close and lock the gate after entering and leaving the park..
Any bad check written to the Missoula Horsemen's Council will incur a $30-processing fee for the Council in addition to any bank charges for collecting the amount due.
Payment of cross country jumping and day pass fees is on the honor system.
Riders under 18 years of age are required to wear ASTM approved helmets except when allowed to do otherwise at recognized , insured shows and clinics.
